Oscar Mejia
Oscar Alexander Mejia was born in Honduras and immigrated to the United States at the age of seven. He received his BFA from Southern Methodist University in 2012, and completed a study abroad program in France with Yale University in 2012.
Oscar’s work takes on an improvisational approach and is neither representational nor abstract. The work instead attempts to orient itself in a world of ambivalence. This is driven by the desire to avoid boundaries and limitations created when the work and the self seek to be defined.
